Hi, my name is Karen Skidmore. In 2004 I left an eleven year corporate career to start up my own coaching business. I wanted to create a term-time career to fit around my family life and running my own business seemed to be the ideal solution.

But it was hard work. Far harder than I imagined it would be. Those first six months were a roller-coaster ride of success and failure. My confidence levels crashed. And I was making very little in the way of income.

Where do these 1-2-1 sessions with Karen take place?

We can work together by telephone, skype or even over the web if a session is better suited to me showing you to see exactly how a marketing tool works.

If you prefer talking in person, there are a limited number of face-to-face sessions on offer if you are able to travel and meet me in the Surrey/Hampshire borders region of the UK. Many clients find these face-to-face sessions essential to coming up with an overall business strategy or getting a personalised training session on certain social media platforms such as Twitter or LinkedIn.

How long do these personalised coaching and mentoring programmes last?

That’s up to you.

You can either have an intensive half or full day with me or work over a longer period of time via phone or skype.

Having worked with small business owners and self-employed professionals on a 1-2-1 basis for more than 6 years, I have found that the ideal length of time to work together is between 4 and 6 months.

We can schedule sessions to suit your working hours and how quickly we progress will depend on what you want to cover in each session.

Don’t worry if you feel you need to take things quicker or slower. If we can cover more, in fewer sessions, we will have you up and running in no time at all!

If you need to take things that little bit slower and cover topics in more depth, we can extend our time together – that’s no problem at all.

And individual Follow-Up Phone Sessions can be booked after your initial programme has finished to help keep your plans on track if you feel you have lost your focus or wish to ask for help in another area of your business.

And this is an investment in your business. Keep your invoices as coaching and mentoring is a valid tax-deductible expense (speak to your Accountant to confirm this).

Your options:

Make It Happen Programme: £275 a month

This is a 4 month telephone programme that really helps move your business forward.

You schedule two one-hour sessions each month, have me at the end of the phone (or skype) for “emergencies” or quick questions as well as unlimited email support during the week.

Your monthly investment will be £275 and can include weekly or monthly action sheets, depending on your agenda and how you like to work.

This is ideal for those of you who have a business to grow, need to see business revenue happening quickly and who are truly committed to following through on their business vision.

Face-to-Face Sessions:

Half Day £395
Full Day £595

If meeting face-to-face is more helpful to you, then you can do this too. As long as you can travel to Hindhead, Surrey (just south of Guildford on the A3), we can spend either a half day or full day together, helping you to create a marketing strategy or business model that will work for you.

You can also take advantage of individual training on specific social media tools, such as Twitter or LinkedIn, if required during the session.

What ever you feel is going to be useful for you and your business, the session can be planned accordingly.

Half day sessions are usually scheduled from 10am to 1.30pm or 12.30pm to 4pm.

Full day sessions are usually scheduled from 9.30am until 3.30pm and will include a short (or long if you prefer!) walk at lunchtime to the local National Trust cafe where we will break for lunch, stretch our legs and clear our minds ready for the afternoon session.  The breathtaking views over the Surrey countryside and Devil’s Punchbowl are perfect for thinking big – it’s where I get a lot of my business inspiration from!

4 weeks of unlimited email support is included after the session.

And you will also go away with a printed out action plan and outline of what you have covered so you are absolutely clear on what you need to go away and do.

Want to continue working on a 1-2-1 basis?  You would be most welcome to embark on the Make It Happen mentoring programme or book Follow-up Sessions depending on what is most helpful to you.

Please note, that there are only a limited number of face-to-face sessions available each month so it may take a little longer to schedule in a time to meet.

Follow-Up Phone Session: £145

Sometimes it is great to be able to check in and have your next set of questions answered.  Or perhaps you’ve got so busy that you’ve forgotten to stay on track with your plans.

Once you have completed the Make It Happen Programme or attended a Face-To-Face Session, you will be able to arrange a 60 minute Follow-Up Phone Session at any time.

Use these sessions to review your original marketing plan, new website or social media profiles.  Or even to discuss a specific area of your business in more detail.

4 weeks of unlimited email support is included after this session.
