  1. This is such a great analogy Karen and boy! do I relate to it! I have read about needs v wants many time before but I think that you have ‘nailed it’ (sorry, couldn’t resist the overused X Factor phrase) it better than anybody else!

    The travel business is so competitive that we really need to give this one serious thought so that we stand out even more!

  2. This is a classic problem which you have boiled down to an understandable analogy. We are at the stage of setting up our business and spending a bit of time with my business partner agreeing ‘wants’ vs ‘needs’ to make money. After reading this, I shall try and tailor our client packages this way too!! Put myself in their shoes.
