One tool I&#039;ve found useful for email lists (it&#039;s the one I use for OpenYourDiary.com) is mailchimp as it is simple to set up, free for small lists and provides an in-built stats package as well as integration with Google Analytics.

Great post. When list building you do absolutely need to laser-target a group with similar interests. 

And a list of people who don&#039;t know who you are or have any relationship with you is as good as no list at all. It doesn&#039;t matter how big your list is right now - you should always be trying to build it to even greater heights, and keep it responsive by giving great &lt;i&gt;value&lt;/i&gt; to it.

Give them discounts, let them know about your new project before anyone else, give them the insider&#039;s tips - let them follow in your story and your success. Good marketing comes first - then the rewards will follow.</description>
