Hi and, for those of you who don’t know me, my name is Karen Skidmore
Back on 16th April 2008, I created a Twitter account and tweeted my first tweet, and then did nothing until, later that summer, I decided to have another go and find out what the Twitter hype was all about.
Almost 12 months later, Twitter has become an integral part of my marketing strategy, bringing in clients from across the world, as well as providing an essential networking arena, market research tool and also a bit of fun “water-cooler” chit-chat.
And the great thing about Twitter is that because it is still in its infancy, Twitter provides a highly versatile platform for many small business owners, like you, to incorporate in to your business planning and marketing strategy.
But hang on – there’s some things you need to know about before you keep reading!
Firstly, I’m not here to tell you that Twitter is an essential and “must-use” tool [after all there are thousands of small business owners running highly successful businesses who haven’t even got themselves online, never mind tweeted].
Nor am I here to teach you how to get 25,000 followers in 25 days [please don’t get caught up in all that hype - unless you are in the business of trying to persuade people they have won the lottery or need help transferring your inheritance out of the country!]
But I am here to share with you some of the highly effective marketing strategies you can use Twitter for. And explain to you – in plain, English! – how you go about implementing one or more of them in your business so you can use Twitter to attract the right clients.

Part One: Wednesday 8th July – 8.30pm until 9.30pm UK (GMT+1)

(3.30pm until 4.30pm US/Eastern and 12.30pm until 1.30pm US/Pacific)
Where are the live events being held?
Be at home on your sofa, in your office or out and about – you get to dial in by telephone from anywhere in the world
What happens if you are not free at these times?
Register and you will automatically be sent the recording of the live calls after the event so you don’t miss a thing!
And if you have any questions you want answered during the call, you will have the opportunity to submit them before the event.
