I find that not only does it show my personality and my expertise, it means that if someone asks me a question, I can refer them to a detailed answer on my blog, - even giving them the link if they've asked by email, - and if I havn't already answered it, then it's a great excuse to write on a new topic. i've found that different people read my blog regularly than my email newsletter, so it's worth doing both. I love blogging too, and completely agree with what Jean says.
